Lemon Rasam Recipe















Ingredients:

  • juice from 1 lemon 
  • 1/4 tsp. turmeric powder
  • 1x1 inch ginger chopped 
  • 1 tsp. mustard seeds
  • 2 green chillies chopped 
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tomatoes 
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. toor dhal 
  • 1 Tbsp. coriander leaves

How to prepare Lemon Rasam Recipe:
  1. Cook toor dhal with 2 cups water and 1/8 teaspoon turmeric powder until it becomes soft. 
  2. Heat oil and add mustard seeds. 
  3. When thy pop add ginger and chillies and fry for a minute. 
  4. Add tomato pieces, 1 cup water and 1/8 tsp. turmeric paste and boil for 5 minutes. 
  5. Add salt. To the cooked toor dhal add 2 cups water and mash well. 
  6. Add this to the rasam and boil for 2 minutes. 
  7. Remove from heat and add lemon juice and coriander leaves. 
  8. Mix well.
