Ingredients:
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. red.pepper powder
- 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. coriander powder
- 1 tsp. cumin powder
- 1 tomato (large)
- 1/8 tsp. turmeric powder
- 1/4 c. tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. ginger (powder)
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper powder
- 10 oz. green peas (frozen)
Method to make Kima Recipe:
- In a heavy saucepan, saute onion in melted butter until golden brown.
- Add spices(cumin powder, turmeric powder, ginger, black pepper, garlic powder, red pepper and coriander) into it and saute for 2 minutes.
- Then add the ground beef and brown evenly.
- Add the peas, cut tomatoes and tomato sauce. Stir and cover tightly.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add a little water if necessary but only to keep the meat from burning.
- This dish should be moist but not stewy.
