Kima Recipe - Non Veg Recipe





















Ingredients:
  • 1 onion (chopped) 
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp. butter 
  • 1 tsp. red.pepper powder
  • 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. coriander powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin powder 
  • 1 tomato (large)
  • 1/8 tsp. turmeric powder 
  • 1/4 c. tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ginger (powder) 
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper powder 
  • 10 oz. green peas (frozen)

Method to make Kima Recipe:
  1. In a heavy saucepan, saute onion in melted butter until golden brown.
  2. Add spices(cumin powder, turmeric powder, ginger, black pepper, garlic powder, red pepper and coriander) into it and saute for 2 minutes. 
  3. Then add the ground beef and brown evenly. 
  4. Add the peas, cut tomatoes and tomato sauce. Stir and cover tightly. 
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. 
  6. Add a little water if necessary but only to keep the meat from burning. 
  7. This dish should be moist but not stewy. 
Note: You may use ground lamb instead of beef. Potatoes can be used in addition to peas.
