Ingredients:
- 1/2 c. onion (finely chopped)
- 1 c. oil
- 1/2 tsp. Red pepper powder
- 1 c. Boiled mashed potatoes
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper powder
- 1 can mackerel or salmon
- 3 egg whites
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 c. bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. oil (for sauteing)
- Salt to taste
- Remove bones and drain oil from sh. Saute onion in oil until golden brown.
- Add mashed potatoes, sh pieces, lemon juice, salt, red and black pepper and cook for 3 minutes.
- Mix it well and make it into small balls about the size of a lime.
- Dip the balls in egg whites, coat them with bread crumbs and deep fry in oil until golden brown.
- Makes into 30-35 cutlets.
