Chicken Manchurian Gravy Recipe





















Ingredients:

  • 250 gms boneless chicken ( cut into bite size pieces)
  • 2 stalks green onions (chopped fine)
  • 1 stalk of celery (chopped fine)
  • 1 bell pepper (cut into cubes)
  • 1 onions (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3-4 tbsp of all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp chopped garlic
  • cooking oil
  • 2 cups chicken stock

Preparation of Chicken Manchurian gravy recipe
  • Clean & cut the chicken into pieces
  • Make the marinade by mixing the all purpose corn flour, salt & a pinch of pepper.
  • Marinate the chicken pieces with this marinade by mixing chicken with the marinade – Keep it aside.
  • Chop garlic
  • Chop onions
  • Chop bell pepper
  • Chop green onions
  • Chop celery
  • Keep ready chicken stock
Method:

  • Heat oil in a pan, deep fry the marinated chicken. Drain the chicken pieces and keep it aside.
  • Now let us make the gravy for the Manchurian chicken – Heat 2tbs oil in a pan, add chopped garlic, onions, bell pepper, green onions, and stir for 2 minutes
  • Now add the chopped celery and stir, now add the soy sauce, ketchup, sugar, salt & stir. 
  • Add the chicken stock & bring to boil, after adjusting the seasoning, add fried chicken pieces & boil for a minute. 
  • Mix 1 tbs of cornflour and add to the gravy, boil for a minute till the gravy thicken.
