Ingredients:
- 250 gms boneless chicken ( cut into bite size pieces)
- 2 stalks green onions (chopped fine)
- 1 stalk of celery (chopped fine)
- 1 bell pepper (cut into cubes)
- 1 onions (sliced)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt to taste
- ½ tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 3-4 tbsp of all purpose flour
- 2 tbsp chopped garlic
- cooking oil
- 2 cups chicken stock
Preparation of Chicken Manchurian gravy recipe
- Clean & cut the chicken into pieces
- Make the marinade by mixing the all purpose corn flour, salt & a pinch of pepper.
- Marinate the chicken pieces with this marinade by mixing chicken with the marinade – Keep it aside.
- Chop garlic
- Chop onions
- Chop bell pepper
- Chop green onions
- Chop celery
- Keep ready chicken stock
- Heat oil in a pan, deep fry the marinated chicken. Drain the chicken pieces and keep it aside.
- Now let us make the gravy for the Manchurian chicken – Heat 2tbs oil in a pan, add chopped garlic, onions, bell pepper, green onions, and stir for 2 minutes
- Now add the chopped celery and stir, now add the soy sauce, ketchup, sugar, salt & stir.
- Add the chicken stock & bring to boil, after adjusting the seasoning, add fried chicken pieces & boil for a minute.
- Mix 1 tbs of cornflour and add to the gravy, boil for a minute till the gravy thicken.
