Poricha Kootu Recipe

















Ingredients:
  • Toor dal, 
  • Coriander seeds,
  • Urud dal, 
  • Whole black peppers, 
  • Cumin seeds - 1teaspoon
  • Whole red pepper,
  • Grated coconut (fry last)
Vegetables:
  • Snake gourd, 
  • cabbage, 
  • beetroot
Method to make Poricha Kootu Recipe:
  1. Fry the above ingredients in little ghee, grind and keep it aside.
  2. Cut any of the vegetables into small pieces, add moong dal and steam it in pressure cooker.
  3. Add the ground mixture to this and heat for a little while to mix uniformly.
  4. Add splattered mustard seeds.
  5. Add curry leaves.
